My Mitsubishi WD 60738 DLP TV is attached to a cable box DVR system. Part of the settings on the remote control let's you select 480, 720, or 1080 format...Mine somehow had them ALL selected and as I change channels it would have decipher each one before selecting the appropriate one therefore taking at least 10 seconds which is s bit frustrating. I had the cable tech out and he showed me how to manage that feature. Go to SETTINGS on cable remote and hit MORE SETTINGS. Scroll til you find Video Output Formats and select only 1080i. That will allow you to go to each channel with minimum time loss. If more than 1080i is selected then de-select all except that one. Your cable company may be different from mine so the way to use your remote may be different....
I'm not sure how mine got changed but it sure has been frustrating the last couple of weeks.
My Mitsubishi DLP HDTV takes at least 10 seconds for channel to change. Started about 2 weeks ago. Audio comes up but video is at least 10 seconds behind.. It doesn't do it on ALL channels! I had cable company come out and replace control box and replace cables to insure proper signal strength. I replaced lamp for picture quality hoping that would fix channel changing. Did not fix. I tried to download a software update but my TV would not take the download.. Called tech support TWICE and they wanted to know why I wanted to update software, so I explained my problem to them again. The first tech was insistent that I didn't know what I was doing trying to download software even following their instruction and would not offer any solution except redo the software download again. I tried several more times with no success. Called tech support again, got a different tech and his answer was the TV has a normal delay and there was nothing wrong with it. I asked him why it just started doing it 2 weeks ago and about the software update and he asked why I wanted the update, it would not help with problem I had and I should call a service rep.. I said that's why I'm talking to you. He said he couldn't help me. End of conversation. I have 3 other HDTVs and none of them have this problem but this is the only Mitsubishi DLP.. Any ideas????
