Missing worksheet tabs

I submit a daily financial report containing 2 worksheets. At the end of the day, the format was changed, the worksheet tabs were no longer there, and I couldn't get to the 2nd worksheet to file my report! I use Microsoft Excel 2003. Can anyone help???

Sorry but your post is lacking.

What I see from your post;

1] You submit the worksheets. Does that mean you open the workbook from a file on your hard drive to input the data then send the file elsewhere? If so, where is the backup copy? If you are the only one to hold the original file, who else has access to it to 'change the format'?

2] What do you mean by 'format was changed'?

3] And don't forget the other information, eg;

Missing information

I update a workbook daily which is in a file saved on my hard drive. I then email it as an attachment to others in my company. No one else has access to my files. I don't know how to make a backup copy, how do I set that up?

By saying the format changed, I meant that I could not open the entire workbook. It opened to the first page (the first worksheet tab) and the three worksheet tabs that were always on the bottom of the page were no longer there.

It is Windows XP, using Microsoft Office 2003. I don't know the model number. I will have to get that info Monday...

That more information is very useful, thank you.

Backing up is just making a copy and keeping that copy elsewhere, preferably 'away' from the computer if possible.

There is a way to 'hide' worksheets. I wonder if someone has played a trick on you?

I don't have my Excel available at the moment, but if I recall there is an option in one of the menus to "Hide" worksheets.
