Usually it's some title that didn't sync. Again iTunes shows 100, the phone may get less.

<span id="INSERTION_MARKER">I have several playlists of 100 songs which I sync to my iPhone, but without doing anything over the last few days they are going missing and there are only 99 or 98 songs in these playlists. However, when I plug the phone back into iTunes they are all there. Re-syncing doesn't help either. <span>
<span>Any ideas or tips? Or has anyone noticed the same thing?
Thanks a lot for pointing me to that. I will take a look through the similar posts and see if there is any development on the issue. I think mine is slightly different because some of the missing songs in question actually appear in other play lists. When I try to add it back in the list manually on the phone it still doesn't work. Very strange.
Such as the title "WHAM" but from two albums. I wonder how they handle name conflicts of either filename, song title, etc.
I think that is Apple's music instal problem, sent the info to Apple Inc,they would give U some suggestions
