Even more telling is the Samsung support link there.
I'm going with the app is not ready for prime time.
I am using Smart View on an iPhone6 connected to a Samsung UN50JU6500. There are thousands of pictures on the phone (Photos app) in dozens of albums. Smart View only shows about 8 albums and fewer than 300 pictures. I can view those few with no problem, but how do I access all my photos?
Sorry, M. Proffitt, but nothing there deals with this issue. I'm not concerned with watching TV on my phone (which has never appealed to me) or using my phone as a remote. Since some pictures are recognized, it would seem that there is something I am not doing to allow the app to recognize all of them. I'd be interested to know what it is.
1. The support link does not take you to the right site.
2. There are priors on your issue and in that link I provided a FINE CLUE that reinforces the not ready for prime time is this:
LOOK CAREFULLY and you see that Photo is selected and underneath that is a "Create Playlist." What folk are griping about is that you need to create playlists in the Samsung app.
My gripe is the app's documentation is missing as well as the link is borked.
Samsung needs to address this and more.

I apologize for the trouble you're having! Everything is done through the device where the app is installed. Therefore, this may just be a limitation of the device. Please see the link below for more information on Smart View.
