"WinNT2k - unknown password for Windows boot-up.

It will also delete \Winnt or \Windows and installed programs. If this is unacceptable, you can buy your way out at...

"OR ???"

There are free solutions, but since they have resulted in non-booting machines with total data loss, I can't reccomend such.

I also have a Del-Part floppy I have never used.
Which would you recommend ?
This computer is being prepared to be used with a new Win2K-Pro system to replace an old Win95 operating as a server for six Win98SE computers.

Why?

Just boot the Win 2K CD and follow the prompts to reformat or partition the drive while installing.

Using a "new" Win2k-Pro CD to boot-up. The account no longer has the orginal Win2k CD that was installed

And, I set the B.I.O.s to first boot - CD. But I can not get it to boot-up to this new Win2k CD.

Will it only recognize the originally install Win2k CD ?

Can I download start-up disc to floppies (or burn a CD)
and bootup to the new Win2k CD ?

Or ? Suggestion please. Thanks

despite changing the boot-sequence in the BIOS, CD-Rom in your case, it still wont boot from that drive. On bootup, look for the 'F' key to hit to get to the boot menu. I've notice on my Dell at work, it says, 'F12- Boot Menu'. It doesn't boot from the CD-Rom despite my changing the boot sequence in the BIOS, but if I hit F12 I'm allowed to choose where I want to boot from; with the up/down arrow key I can select 'CD-Rom'. Good luck.
