Missing, not deleted, pictures

by LQRC / August 1, 2014 8:52 AM PDT

I have a Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 I purchased 2 weeks ago. Photos from my old phone were transferred over to this phone at the store where I purchased the phone.
Went on vacation and took pictures and one video. Got a message that no memory was available and to delete some items. Deleted a few pics and when they wasn't enough I deleted the video. Well, along with deleting the video, all my new pictures went with it, about 50 or so.

Attached the phone to my Mac, downloaded Kies, and found old photos but not missing ones. Took one pic today and that showed up in the Kies library.

Any idea what to try next? Also called Boost Mobile and that was no help.

Sadly, you wrote Kies.

Back to Samsung to ask them what happened. I know we only lose what we don't backup so hitting the delete before we got our files/pictures out may mean they did go away.

But let's say they are missing. Well the ugly truth is this is no PC. We can't trust these little machines.

I didn't hit the delete on the pictures though, only the video. What is wrong with Kies?

As the tablet/phone/pad is Samsung and Kies failed, let Samsung answer what to do next. I know not to trust these units today. And I'm writing Android apps!

Maybe the card problem
by kingsbuying / August 1, 2014 2:10 PM PDT

It happens on me that all my pictures I stored gone totally for unknown reason. whenever I enter the gallery, it also remind that no memory is available. It turns to be the memory card is broken. But I guess the pictures you lost may not retrievable unless try getting professional software.
