missing news in command tab

Oct 29, 2004 2:54AM PDT

I am running windows XP. I tried to open news reader in Office Outlook 2003. When I dragged news to the Go Menu, I dragged it to the wrong place. Now it is missing in the commands list. What to do?

Hardrock,

This isn't clear to me at all. What is 'command tab' and 'commands list'? What did you drag?

Will View>Toolbars>Modify ... help? It will let you drag command icons to a toolbar.

Go to Outlook 2003 help in starting news reader for the first time. You must insert news from a list to the Go command before you can use news reader. When I tried to drag news to the go menu I lost it and do not know where it went. Now it no longer shows up in the list.

Sorry, I don't have Outlook 2003, so I can't tell you.

The only things I can suggest:
- Look in the Help, or search on google.
- Back to a previous system restore point
- Uninstall and reinstall the program. It's quite possible these are settings in a file which isn't uninstalled, so have a close look at both the folder in Program Files, appropiate files in your Documents and Settings folder, and the registry after the uninstall.
