missing idle.dll

Mar 13, 2004 9:14AM PST

I am getting " a required .dll file, idle.dll was not found each time I turn on my computor. I click OK and go on with everything except loading Yahoo Messenger. Then the same message comes up and under it is "could not execute the external program, c:\program~1\yahoo!messenger~1|ypager.exe" I can find msidle.dll in the computor's files. Also before this happened i had uninstalled Yahoo Messenger but i don't know if this problem started then. Any help would be appreciated.

When you delete or un-install Yahoo! messenger, you also delete idle.dll. You can get the file from my site : http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/idle_dll/index.html There are directions on where to put the file. Please note that you do not have to open or run the file. It will just sit in your SYSTEM folder until it is accessed by the program that needs the file. Good luck!
