missing file message

Mar 1, 2004 11:56PM PST

I keep getting message "cannot find script file
C:\program files\support.com\Charter\vbs\toe-confirmprotect.vbs" when I start up Windows ME on my Dell Dimension 2400, when I send an e-mail, and when I make almost any move to another program. It does not seem to affect operation of the PC but I can't figure out how to get rid of it or whether I should get rid of. Periodically, in connection with this, is the appearance of an icon that I scan with Norton, find no virus but can't figure out what it is so I delete it. As I write, I am again getting the Windows Script Host message. Is this some kind of intruder?

in your browser go to tools>internet options> advanced. check 'disable script debugging'.

Thanks for the suggestion but found disable script debugging already checked.

Ran Ad aware, turned up a couple of bugs, quarantined, and closed. When I returned to check e-mail, I got the same message. I will try the suggested deletion.
