uninstalling Flash with the Flash uninstaller http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157 Then reinstall the latest version http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=shockwaveFlash
Running Win XP Pro, SP2, Windows Firewall, Intel Pen 4, 512 Ram, Norton antivirus.
After reformatting and installing Flash Player,a Norton One Button Scan says I have a missing file in the Registry, "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash.ocx."
I have reformatted many times and installed Flash Player and I've never received this warning before. I reformatted a couple of times just to make sure it's Flash Player that's triggering the message and it is. Does anybody know why installing Flash necessitates removing an Active X Com file from the Registry? How do I correct this situation, or do I really need to? Thanks, Chuck
