missing file

Mar 1, 2004 11:15PM PST

I keep getting message "cannot find script file. C:\program files\support.com\charter\vbs\toe-confirmprotect.vbs"
I am using Windows ME and the missing file does not seem to have affected use of the Dell 2400 Dimension PC. The file is not in my deleted file bin, but a search of program files shows a very similar file.
Suggestions?

One of the lockdowns I perform is to disable .VBS scripting since it's been abused and a source of virus, trojan and other problems.

If you want to get rid of the message, more detail is required such as what causes it to show up.

Seaches of the registry for it and deletion of the entry is not unusual.

To get a second opinion, try your post in the Security Forum as well.

The script file message shows up when I move to a new mail message, move to explorer, when I send an e-mail, seems almost any move triggers it.
Thanks for the suggestion to post in Security Forum.
