Resolved Question

mirorcast and screen mirror

Apr 28, 2014 12:04AM PDT

Hi I have a ue55f6400
Galaxy note 2
Samsung10 inch tablet
Asus memo pad hd7
Using the same files on all devices usb for the tv.
My problem is they all sound fine except from the asus memo pad I connect this to the tv using mirorcast on the memo pad and screen mirroring on the tv it connects fine but the sound does not sound right is this a compatability issue with mirorcast and screen mirror or is it just down to the asus memo pad. As anyone tried mirorcast to screen mirror on a different piece of hardware and noticed this

Keep in mind that such is in my mind not ready for market.

The lags, glitches that I seen in mirroring full video over WiFi means that while it's a great idea, it's not good enough for the consumer market where they might demand it get fixed.

I here where your coming from example absolutely useless for games because of lag. But for the files I'm using it as been fine obviously my Sammy products are working ok.my main question is are mirorcast and screen mirror compatible. I connect fine between my asus pad running mirorcast to sammy tv using screen mirror I get both sound and picture but the sound just doesn't seem right tried varius apps plus inbuilt sound settings on pad but still the sound just don't sound right to my or my wifes ears.this isn't really a problem as I can use other devices but would really like to know if it is the asus pad or a sound issue between mirorcast and screen mirror I suppose the best chance off answering this is if someone as used a different android product using mirorcast with a sammy tv and got the same result or found it sounds alright. Example same video file played from usb then from note2 phone then from samsung pad all sound the same but not from the asus.

Sending files is not mirroring.

There are DLNA servers for Android devices today which is an entirely different take on how to play video from one thing to the next thing.

WiFi is open to interference and as such is more gimmicky than solid.

Yes, the Asus may not be up to the task but try other playback methods and see what works. The problem as I see is is that a consumer won't put up with leading edge ideas. They have a different view on these ideas.
