Minor Q. about Ccleaner and Internet Properties deleting

Nov 20, 2004 5:12AM PST

I assume that Ccleaner does a better job than using the delete features in Internet Properties, doesn't it? But I notice that when I use Ccleaner the URLs stored in my address box in the toolbar at the bottom are still there, whereas when I use Internet Properties they get deleted. Is that of any significance? I don't suppose that the continued presence of those URLs means that somehow cookies or temporary interet files haven't been fully removed, does it? Thanks, grandpaw

Hi Jerry,
I don't use Ccleaner BUT, the URL's you are seeing are "History", not "temp. internet files". Try clearing "history" as well and see what happens.

Thanks, Rod. Ccleaner is supposed to clean out History, but it didn't. Then, I ran it again, and it did clean history. Or maybe I am just overlooking something, which is a frequent happening.

Anyhow, I did get the end result I was looking for.
