ok. so for some reason my camera just stoped working properly. when i try to take a picture it says "system error" and it wont let me zoom. and when i turn it off, the zoom lens thing doesnt go in. help?

It could be a defective battery.

Get 2 new alkaline batteries and see if that fixes the problem.

If you are using rechargeable NiMH batteries, it can still be a defective battery.

The only way to determine if a battery is defective is to replace it.

If new batteries do not fix the problem, the only other thing you can do is to try a different memory card. There have been a few cases of a defective card causing various problems.

If that does not fix the problem, start shopping for a new camera. Camera repairs generally exceed the value of the camera.
