Minimized pages

Jun 2, 2004 12:37PM PDT

Earlier today I had a problem with my quick launch desktop icon missing. I resolved that problem but it seems that I have created a new one. When I click on any hyperlinks the taskbar shows the page that is to be opened but the page opens on the desktop in a small two inch picture. I have to maximize it each time and I can already tell that's going to be a real drag. It never acted this way before I messed with my taskbar today. How can I fix this? I have Me. Thank you.

mulberryrd, Follow the instructions below exactly and your problem should be solved.
Right click the shortcut icon for IE next to the Start button, choose Properties, change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'. Now open it.
Now right click any link on the page, choose Open In New Window....don't maximize it....instead, use the mouse to resize it to what you want it to be.
Now close the FIRST window you opened, and then close the new one you just resized.

Reopen IE from the shortcut icon again, and all windows from now on will be the size you chose and created.

I did as you suggested but I have the same problem, I even tried it twice but I still get the small window when I click on a link. Maybe I'm not desribing it properly but it seems to happen when the link is one that starts http://. Other underlined links open to full sized pages. I hope this makes sense.

mulberryrd, The instructions I posted in my previous reply should have worked but below is a link to download "IE New Window Maximizer" for Free which should solve the problem.
