MiniDvd Camcorder to Computer

I am having a problem with converting the .vob/etc. format from my minidvds to a format like avi/wma/etc. I have tried a couple programs out there but everytime I always get a video/audio mismatch. No matter what format I try and put it in the audio never matches the video.

What is some of the best programs out there that I can convert with that I wouldn't have the audio/video problem. I do not mind having to pay if I know it works. I have already bought a couple DivX Converter and DvD Ripper by boilsoft.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
