The 'chip' in the SD card is the same from many makers. Less than a handful of chip factories make flash memory so on the whole there will be zero differences at the chip level. However support and marketing will vary widely with name.
I have no-name, ritek, apex, kingston and even more names at the office. I can't tell the difference except by price and storage sizes.
Since nothing exciting is going on here I shop by price only.

so i have a cell phone that uses mini SD cards to store mp3s and photo and videos... i probably need a sd card that is at least 1 gb... I saw that the brand kingston has very high storage for a very inexpensive amount... while some others, such as sandisk, have less storage, yet, cost a bit more...
So i was wondering if there were any quality differences and if there is a way to know the quality of it...(such as 8.4 mp, 3x optical zoom for a camera)
i always try to get the best quality, but if there isnt much of a differnce, ill go for the cheaper one...
thanks
