Military sales

With so many thousands of military personnel stationed overseas, why does Dell seem to be the only computer manufacturer who will ship their wares to APO/FPO addresses? Are IBM, Gateway and HP so rich that they can afford to lose our business? Thanks,

Some others will, goombarok. Just for a check, I checked one that I use for computer parts when I build my own, mwave.com.
They have computers, and will also assemble, test, and ship one that they build from the parts you specify. In their info in their help section, they indicate that they have no problem with it.
That company is just the first one I checked, so I'd bet that other computer makers besides IBM, Gateway and HP are glad to have the business. A search might find you a company, computer, and price that might be of interest to you.

Hi Tony,

Would be OK for me as Dell is my fav over those listed.

You are fortunate to have a computer in Korea. When I was there over 40 years ago the best thing to keep GI's busy with off duty was the 'moose'.

Got curious about that, Tony, so I checked. Gateway offers a phone number ([605] 232-1424) for sales with delivery to APO/FPO/AE addresses. I realize that phoning the land of the big BX from the ROK may be a pain, but it at least looks possible.

BTW, where in the Land of the Morning Calm and Ridiculous Temperature Extremes are you? Just wondering...

Thanks. I was hoping for on line ordering (like Gateway used to have).
I'm in Daegu - enjoying life here for my 10th year.
