First you need to export your contacts from Windows Live Mail. Then go into Yahoo Mail and click the Contacts tab. Then click the Import Contacts tab and point at the file you exported from WLM.

I recently purchased a HP laptop with WINDOWS 8. I also have a HP desktop with WINDOWS 7 and I used WINDOWS LIVE MAIL. I now want to start using yahoo mail so whenever I get a new computer I don't lose all my email and contacts, (am I on the right path here?) and have to enter all my contacts. How do I copy all my email addresses from Windows Live to my yahoo account and/or Windows 8 mail????
