Migrating Data Only HD from Win7 pc to Win10 PC

I need to move a 1tb hd from an older Windows 7 machine to a recently purchased Windows 10 machine. The hard drive is data only, no applications or OS, just data. Is it is as simple as physically moving the hd or is there some type of preparation I need to do first? I've searched online but the only articles I have found are about moving the primary hd with apps and OS which is (I assume) more complicated. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

no problem if only data

you did not say if it is internal or external but you should have immediate access once it is plugged into your win10 computer.

Thanks

Thank you for your help, it worked fine. It was an internal drive.
