Microsoft Works Suite 6.0

Feb 14, 2004 6:17AM PST

I am having a # of problems with Outlook Express & Word 2000 SR1. Outlook will automatically open emails as soon as I click on them (only sometimes, but too many) and I have it set to allow me 10 seconds. Also, when I delete an email, it sometimes deletes more than 1 email message.

My Word program only allows me to open a new document once, then I have to reinstall and repair to get it back.

Thank you, and what do you mean about free of pests?

Pest patrol.

Besides Virus, Trojans and worms are the other pests, parasites, adware, spyware and more. Rather than find all the names, a roll-up description of "pests" and "parasites" seems to make it easier to note.

Remember that your Antivirus won't note such because "it's not a virus", but tools do exist.

I went in the html address that you have in your message, and downloaded spyware. Now I'm questioning that choice. What would you recomend?

If you caught spyware from that link, then something terrible has happened to this CNET forum. The Security Forum would literally explode if we found these forums to foist spyware onto a machine. We strive to help people get rid of such, not to infect a machine.

I would, but I can't find the security forum. I clicked on the http adress in your message and that's what I got. What program would you specifically reccomend to get rid of parasites & pests?
Thank you.

The post at http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6132-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=1313&start=0 is in the Security Forum. You can find the top of the forum the same way you do here. Click the Back to the Security forum link on that article.

"What program would you specifically reccomend to get rid of parasites & pests?"

There is NO one tool/program to remove all pests. I've pasted the link to the top five tools in this post for you.

If you have problems with pests, feel free to post in the Security Forum at http://reviews.cnet.com/5204-6132-0.html?forumID=32
