...although I don't use the Works Calendar and you didn't give us the specific version of Works OR your operating system, here are instructions for creating a "yearly" reminder. I'm sure you should be able to derive enough information to create the reminder of your choice:
1. Start Works Calendar.
2. On the View menu, click Month.
3. Click the Previous Month or Next Month arrow to display the month that contains the day for which you want to set the reminder.
4. Click the day for which you want to set the reminder.
5. On the File menu, click New Appointment.
6. In the Title box, type a name for the appointment.
7. Click Change next to the Category box.
8. Click to select the Special Occasion or Anniversary check box, and then click OK.
9. Under When, click to select the Make this appointment repeat check box, and then click Recurrence.
10. Under Recurring, click Yearly.
11. In the End By box, click the last date on which you want to receive this reminder.
12. Click OK, and then click OK again.

Have you tried uninstalling the Calendar, then reinstalling it from the CD?
Hope this helps.

I never turn my computer off. The calendar reminders display only when I open the program, even though when I ALT-CTRL-DEL, it shows that WkCalRem.exe is running. I have re-booted and reloaded the program. How can I get my reminders to pop-up?
