In using Microsoft Word 11.6.3, the up/down scrolling arrows by mouse are now missing. There are side to side arrows though.

Your answer didn't work for me since there was no "options" listed under tools. But it did give me the clue, and that was to look at ALL word possibilites. This led me to look under word "preferences". I immediately found "horizontal scroll bar" and "vertical scroll bar"--which was NOT checked! No idea how that got un-checked, but checking it solved the problem. So, R. Proffitt, thank you so much. Yours was the only answer I received.

Glad it helped.

As we can change what is under Tools, you never can be sure what is where anymore. Glad you found it.

I'm using my Mac desktop computer, 1.25 GHz PowerPC Gr with the standard old mouse, not a laptop.
