Microsoft Word question

Apr 9, 2008 6:14AM PDT

Questions regarding Microsoft Word 04 for Mac...

1. How do I change the footnote size? The default size is 12 and it is annoying changing it to 10 every time i use a footnote.

2. Is it possible to "lock" the window into place (as in lock it to the toolbar in the upper left corner) so the window is not floating on my desktop?

Thanks.

I know that in Office 2008, you can click styles in the formatting palette and change your default style to stay at whatever size font you like. Honestly, I can't really remember Office 04 Happy. Haven't used it since 08 came out. 04 was lacking in performance for me, and I think the new version makes up for it.

Anyway, if there is a style tab somewhere in Word 04, try that. Note that this will change the setting for all words.

Locking the window... Wouldn't the best way to "lock" it would to leave it alone and not click and drag it? I am unaware of any procedure to do this, if I understand correctly. If you run multiple windows at a time, but would prefer to keep all of your windows in the same place, try using Expose, if you have OS 10.4 or later, and that way you have more control over them. Works for me.

Just my two cents.
