Microsoft Word problem

Jun 2, 2004 8:15AM PDT

Whenever I go to type a document, the document on the screen says the point size is 12, but I can't read it. The text is buched up in a corner. The ruler still says 1 through 7 on the top of the page. I can go to print preview to read what I wrote.

Windows XP, word 2003

Any help would be appreciated

Even Word 2003 seems to still suffer when NORMAL.DOT is corrupt. It's an endearing or enduring problem. Find and delete that file, then start Word (it creates a new one) and see if that helps.

If not, then it's time to reveal if you've updated video and printer drivers (without Microsoft's help.)

I'll try deleting Normal.Dot and see what happens. Unless I did it by mistake, I don't think I've updated video and printer drivers. Thanks so much for your help.

It worked! Thanks for suggesting that I delete Normal.Dot. You've rid my life of a terrible curse.
