Microsoft Word double-click a checkbox

Oct 7, 2005 11:40PM PDT

Hello all. I was wondering if MS Word has the ability to allow a double-click on a checkbox to default to "checked" rather than open the checkbox dialog window. It seems that this would be beneficial to the user so he/she doesn't have to open the dialog window each time and select "checked."
If anyone knows how to set it so I may double-click on a checkbox and have it become "checked" rather than open the dialog window, please let me know.

Thanks for the help,
Josh

(NT) yes, you can

On the dialog window where you have to pick checked or unchecked, click on "enable check box" and close it. Then right click on toolbar and select "Forms". You'll see the lock sign at the far right and click on that. Now your check box will be locked and you can only check or uncheck by double clicking it.

This looks good. When the "Check box enabled" is enabled and locked, it works pretty well. Thanks for the help.
