Microsoft Word Check Box's

Feb 16, 2007 4:57AM PST

Hi,
I am creating a document that involves check box's in microsoft word. Since there are a good amount of box's that will have to be checked each time, I am wondering if it is possible to make it so when you double click the box it automatically puts an 'X' in the box, insteaid of having the window pop up, then making you select that you want to check the box each time. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is Word abuse. For such surveys we whip up a small visual basic application or even a Web app. Even Adobe's PDF creator can do this without inflicting thousands of double mouse clicks.

I'd use anything else for survey or data collection.

It sounds like you are creating a form. I agree that this may be Word abuse, but if you must use it...just lock the form and you will not need to double click.
