you need to look at what else is running on your system. just because you freshly restarted your computer doesn't mean that there is plenty of free memory left over. as soon as you boot your computer and all the programs that start up are done, right click on My Computer and choose Properties|Performance. what is the free system resources number?
Herb....
I have Windows ME and whenever I try to open Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1, the computer freezes and I am left to press the power button. Pressing control-alt-delete only brings up messages claiming I am low on resources (but have just restarted), and I must turn the power off. I cannot press control-alt-delete to restart. There is no specific error message I am getting. I have tried both reinstalling and repairing Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
