Microsoft Windows Installer

Apr 5, 2005 4:32AM PDT

It seems that just about every function that I prepare to do, the window which says "Windows Installer - Preparing to Install" pops up. This is very annoying. How do I turn it off? I have Windows XP (home edition 2003). Thanks for any help.

If it's a message about installing the Journal Viewer (you only tell the window title, not the message itself) the solution can be found in http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/329118.html

Else post again with more info, such as the contents of the window.

Thanks for your help. The window that pops up says merely "WINDOWS INSTALLER - Preparing to Install..." This window pops up just about every function I try to do even when I go thru the different items in my email. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who replied. By process of elimination, I found that the Microsoft Office was the problem so I uninstalled/reinstalled it and now it's fine.
