I remember pre-2000 where sound directed at spots so only that spot would have sound. It appears that many 'researchers' are exploiting our short memory spans.

Does that work along the same idea as the secret ring tones that not everyone can hear?

I mean, Microsoft wants to make it individual, but it seems like they're expanding on an idea already out there.. maybe?
