Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library

WindowsMe - Dell Dimension 4100

I receive the following message - about 5 minutes after i boot up.

Program: C:\windows\explorer.exe

"A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated"

Please Help/Advise - Thank you very much.

Not uncommon with today's

Virus, spyware, trojans and such. Try the usual tools I note at http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6132-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=1313&messageID=15002

There is no "do this" cure given what information you supplied.

I forgot to add that overheating machines can do that as well. Try this. Remove the case cover.

Does it stop? Take longer? SAME?
