microsoft visual c++ runtime error/ firefox failed to start

while starting firefox iam getting an error message stating

"microsoft visual c++ runtime library error,abnormal programme

termination" and firefox failed to start.what should i do to

solve this issue.please help.now iam using opera instead of

firefox as my browser.

This problem usually comes about when you have some DLL files with incorrect date stamps on them.

The solution is two fold. First, you need a program that will scan your system for files with bad date stamps, then you need a a program that will let you change them.
