Question

Microsoft updates not installing

I have approx 20 plus Microsoft windows updates that have downloaded automatically and are ready for installing. I've tried several times to install but they won't install for some reason. I have Windows XP and Norton virus protection.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make the installation successful???

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you.

What does "they won't install" exactly mean?
How did try to install them several times?
Do you see them "failed" in the update history? If so, what do they tell you about the error (reasons and possible fixes)?

Given so little detail.

I can't guess if this is a repeat of prior .NET failures. Are you reporting a new install failure or more of the same?

Tell more about this. And about those .NET failures, be sure you use prior suggestions to save us repeating the answer.
