...is YOU need to know what's being deleted..It's not always a good thing. You probably already have Cookies enabled and the error message is a problem with Internet Explorer itself, or Java, or the Script Engine, or possibly something else. But let's make sure...
That said, in order to enable cookies on Internet Explorer 6, open the Control Panel, double click on "Internet Options" icon, then click on the 'Privacy" tab. When that loads, move the Cookies slider to "Medium". Click on "Apply", then OK. If that doesn't work, then move the slider to something lower and try again.
In regards to receiving Windows Updates, as far as I'm aware, then have NOT been any updates since the monthly release on the first Tuesday of August. That could explain why you haven't received any. Just to be sure, have you tried installing them manually by visting the Windows Update site? Open Internet Explorer, then click on "Tools" in the upper left, choose "Windows Update".

Dear Moderators.
I have used C Cleaner about four times. It seems to have worked because my computer began working faster.
I do not know if it removed something it should not because I find that when I try to visit certain sites I have to go to search because the page cannot be found. Moreover I have noticed that I have not had an internet explorer service pack 2 or any other automatic update since about mid August and that was when I used C Cleaner. I found this to be very unusual.
Although my system is set to receive automatic Updates I have not received any.
How can I resolve the difficulty? Can anyone advise.
