...it didn't affect the 3 desktops and a laptop I applied it to two days ago. I have both the 32 and 64 bit versions, and both Home Premium and Professional. Have you ever run a registry cleaner?

I left my computer on last night to allow the updates. When I booted up this morning, it said not to shut down the computer but allow the updates which should have been done last night. I let it update, rebooted and everything was wrong. It would not allow me to search with my Startpage search engine, everything was a dangerous page! I couldn't use my email because a page came up telling me to Add a Security Exception that the certificate belongs to a different site, and could be identity theft. Then I could not log on to Cnet on Firefox, the round thing went round and round. In the end I decided to do a restore back to two days ago before the update, but it made no difference then I discovered the date on the computer was changed back to 1st January 2010 and the time was different, so I changed all that, and then Firefox put up a message that I had not used it for a long time (I use it several times a day) and did I want to reset it.
This can only be due to the Microsoft update, is there anything I can do about it that I have not done.
