mIcrosoft update not installing

athlon /XP automatically installs security bulletin MS03-051/XP KB810217/ buffer overrun front page server.Says it installed successfully but shows up in windows scan as not installed. Tried manual install [Fp4Awel.dll ]but still shows up as not installed the next day. Could set up swithing be improper for that particular update?All other updates installed fine. NEW PC USER

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=810217 notes this is for FrontPage 2000 extensions. Such are usually only installed on machines that run IIS and FP2000. You'll find that the detection of what patches are needed is imperfect and may have to investigate if you need such a patch.
