Microsoft Streets and Trips Installation error

Jun 18, 2007 1:28PM PDT

Hi,

I bought a used laptop for my husband and he really needs this program since he is a truck driver. I cannot for the life of me, get it installed. It keeps erroring out at a text to speech error. I went to microsofts website and the error is listed but the instructions do not work. I went into the registry like it said but the subkey that they are asking me to delete is not there. I don't know what else to do but he isn't able to take this to work with him until I can get that installed. I hope that someone here can help me.

Windows XP
Thank you
Shari

Microsoft Streets and Trips Install error

I'm sure that I'm just suppose to hit reply I don't know why it's making me change the subject line?

Anyway, I have Win Xp Professional

i went to the microsoft website and there is a page for this error but their solution doesn't work on my end. The subkey I'm suppose to delete isn't there. Should be an easy fix according to the website.

Thanks
Shari

As to the subject line...

The forums software ensures you don't post the same subject or body twice in a row in an attempt to reduce the amount of spam posted in the forums. Thankfully, it's a feature, not an issue. Happy
