Microsoft's "help" with KB951748 has HOSED my computer--HELP

Today Microsoft tech responds to my 7/9 call & I tell him the KB951748 update on my xp/s2 server connection problems (I uninstalled Norton using control panel since I don''t have Zone Alarm-(unless it's hiding??) Tech says uninstall the update and reboot. OK..

Now I have screen 94 (which I've never seen before with Intel logo & (F2 for Bios and F10 for settings or something). THEN he tells me that uninstalling "disables some hardware" ie the mouse, surprise Keyboard doesn't work either!!, so I can't even access SAFE MODE...."OK,put in xp install disc..." you guessed it... THE CD/rom WON'T WORK EITHER!! "I'll escalate your case...bye, now"

AM I DOA??? How can I do anything to fix their "help?" if I can't get into my suddenly autistic computer!!

Are you telling us you can't boot from your CDROM drive? If so I'd fix that first as it's needed to boot and repair this OS.
