Stored In The Cache Directory

In reply to: microsoft picture manager next and previous

The picture you are opening from your email is being stored in the cache directory for Internet Explorer, therefore when using the "next" and "previous" buttons in the picture manager you will see any other images stored in that directory.

The easiest way that I can think of to prevent that is to save the picture first from your email into your "My Documents" folder or some other convenient location and open it from there instead.

Cache Directory

In reply to: Stored In The Cache Directory

Many thanks, just to clarify, the "other images" that i can view with the next button, will they have been from the senders cache directory- (images or pics stored unwittingly on the senders cache directory, from web pages that the sender has visited), or once i open the pictures, are they from my own cache directory ? Most of the "other images" are shop logos and advert images of items to purchase etc, so obviously web page images, not from web pages i can remember visiting ?
(cant imagine sender would store the personal photos sent to me in that directory ? )thanks

From Your Own Directory

In reply to: Cache Directory

The images are from your own cache directory.

By the way, the "next" and "previous" buttons will show any images in the same directory as the image you originally opened with, so you may want to keep that in mind when using the viewer.
