Microsoft has developed antipiracy features for most of its new software making it impossible to install and run a program on more than one computer.

If you want the EXACT "Microsoft Picture It" program, then you'll need to purchase and install it. It can't be copied over (too many files scattered all over the computer) and installing it from some else's CD is almost surely a violation of the licensing.

But there may be other programs that will fit the bill. For example, if this is a camera related request, the camera itself may have software which will do the job. In addition, Adobe now allows users of Windows 2000 & XP to download a free Photoshop Album Starter Edition with it's free Acrobat Reader. It's not perfect, but it might do what you want. After clicking on the link below, select your operating system and download speed. A display will open up at the bottom of the page which allows you to download both Reader and Photoshop:

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Hi Grif,

First, i run Windows 98. As far as i can remember my friend's Microsoft Picture it Publishing program contained six CD'S each CD was a different program, one cd that i was interested in showed you how to make Calenders, Birthday Cards and loads of other stuff.
I have enquired if i can buy this program but was told it only comes when you buy a computer, hope this helps.

Thanks Grif.

There are lots of programs that will do the same thing. Greeting card programs have other projects you can make. Check out the selection at any retail computer store that sells software.
