Microsoft Outlook Express

I've always been on MSN Premium and use MSN (butterfly) email, however whenever articles appear in periodicals concerning email, it almost never cites MSN email. Outlook Express, Eudora, many others as well, yet never a mention of MSN email. Even my Windows XP Home system asks if I want to install OE as my default email preference. Unfortunately, I can't do that as I get an error message every time I try to access OE.

Nothing critical, I'm using MSN email just fine but my queries to Microsoft addressing this concern have never been answered.
