Microsoft Outlook

Feb 22, 2007 7:55AM PST

I am having issues with Outlook at more than one of my store locations. Certain accounts are not receiving email, the mail is instead being sent to the inbox of another user account on the computer. The setting have been checked and everything is right.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks

I encountered this but...

The owner had some oddball system where the users used the same login but the mail got sorted in Outlook. I walked on that one since that never works.

It's not possible to shove email into the other account unless they login and run outlook so I'm going to guess something is non-standard about the setup.

More on Outlook problem
Feb 22, 2007 8:32AM PST

I encountered the same problem at my store but it was only a few emails and seemed to resolve itself. The store that is having the problem is 5 hours away so i am unable to actually see the settings and everything until I get to work tomorrow when I can actually dial into the computer and check the settings myself.

Here is some more info that may give you a better idea of the problem.
everyone logs into the computer with the same account. Each person has their own email address and has their own profile created in outlook. the only way i can see this happening is if the settings are somehow incorrect, but the person who set this up has been doing this for every person before I took over the IT position at the company. If there are no known solutions to the problem, and the setting all look correct, then I am just going to backup the folders and wipe it all out and start over. That seems to be the only solution the the time.

Any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks again

Which is exactly the scenario I know doesn't work. Or at least seems to work then go south. That makes it a known issue and your choice on how to fix that.
