Microsoft Office Slow

Jan 7, 2004 12:41PM PST

OS: MS XP
Processor: Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz

I recently purchased a new PDA. It came with MS ActiveSync 3.7 and Outlook 2002. Since I installed these two programs, Word on my PC has been talking a long time to come up when opened and Excel files take a long time to come up. The Excel program itself comes up quickly, but small files (30k) take 30 seconds or more to open. Outlook and Access seem to be working at a good speed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Paul

I neglected to mention in the post above that I am running Word 2000 and Excel 2000.

i think you need to head over to the handheld forum and ask this question. it may be the configuration of ActiveSync. i don't work enough with PocketPCs to know.
