Microsoft office 2007

Jul 31, 2013 5:58PM PDT

My system is windows Xp sp3- 64 bit .
While cheching list of installed programs, I noticed that I have two office 2007 installed on the same date .
1- microsoft office Enterprise 2007-1.11GB
2- microsoft office Enterprise 2007- 616.33MB
How does this happened ? and can I uninstall one of them ?

If it works OK, I'd leave it alone, unless you're ready to uninstall and reinstall everything it deleting one of them makes it inoperable.

Could it be the second one is a service pack?

Answer
I would be a bit wary

It is always a risk when trying to remove/uninstall what looks like duplicates, so I would be wary, careful.

If you are confident that you can recover from any problems then that's fine. Do you still have the genuine Microsoft Office 2007 installation CDs? If so, then you can always reinstall Office again if need be.

In this case I would get those disks out handy, then uninstall both instances and start again. I would reboot the computer after each uninstall.

Or, if they were not causing me any problems, I would just leave them alone.
