Microsoft Messenger

by phil66 / March 4, 2009 11:27 PM PST

I have just done a repair of my XP Home os.

Upon checking my program files I find it has loaded Messenger.
The program will not run from the msmsgs.exe.
It is not in add/remove

I have used shoot the messenger from gibson to remove it in the past. Which was about 2 years ago.

Is this program still good for removing the messenger or should I try using Microsoft Q30289 removal procedure. Or should I just delete the folder and all of the files.

Does not seem to be running but it does bother me to see it in program files.

Thanks
Ray
