Microsoft IE 6.0 and CSS

I was working on creating a dropout menu navigation for a web site. I ran across some examples on the net using just CSS for creating dropout menus. Supposedly it works on CSS compatible browsers including IE. When I tried the examples myself using Netscape 7.1 it works fine but not on my IE 6.0.28 Ver.. I used IE to go to that examples web site and the example did not work either. Is there something up with my settings or it is my Ver. of IE. Or could that web Master just not know?

Just in case you need to refer to the examples here is that web site with the examples. http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/menus/demo.html

I just need to be able to easily create menus of various types. Any suggestions on where to look?
