Cloning it's drives? That way you can always go back.
I have an exchange server at my work. It's a bit of a dinosaur and needs updating badly. Problem is, I have scoured the internet for a relatively simple migration solution without any luck. Turns out we'll likely be utilizing a 3rd party to do the migration. Which is fine, but I'd like to do a full backup of the server that I can start back up if this plan falls through. Any way to clone a server pre-migration? Or at least what are the necessary pieces I need to save to get all the mail users back up and running if something goes wrong. One caveat to this, the server is running on a 64 bit machine and I can't export PST files to an alternate location without it being 32 bit. Thanks in advance for any input.
