Well first I hope that you have an UNREPAIRED copy of the EDB. The issue could be that the database was completley trashed and unrecoverable before you started OR it could be that the system you are running the Repair on has issues that caused more damage, i.e. if you are running ESEUTIL /P on the Exchange Server where the database failed it could be the disk controller, motherboard or other hardware/software issue was the original cause of the corruption. When you run ESEUTIL /P or /D it's going to stress the system heavily so if the original damage was caused on this system its terrible place to attempt a recovery from since it will more than likely just completely trash the database and any chance of recovery that you desire.
