The quality of a PDA recording can be varied from "GSM 6.10" at 8MHz with Mono sound (2KB/s) to "PCM" at 44.1MHz with 16bit Stereo sound (172KB/s). Thus, you can store between 6 minutes and 9 hours with 64MB of memory.
As far as noisy environments, there's an option that allows you to decrease the grain in noisy environments. However, the playback will probably be as good as an incoming message from Pluto depending on the type/noise level of plant. ![]()

Looking for info on how much voice time can be saved on a PDA - HP could not give me an answer - they just said as much as you have memory for. So does that mean 1 hr, 3 hrs? Any guideline that someone could give me-like x minutes per y mb? And how is the quality? If a person were speaking into the pda while in a noisy plant would it be clear when played back?
