I thought that I would try cutting and pasting mfc70.dll from the version I have on my Windows 8 version of Quicken but of course you can't do that without registering it, can anyone remind me how you do that, because I have managed to copying it over but it doesn't work

Registering a DLL is another well discussed area.

MFC70.DLL Quicken etc
by grawhib / June 11, 2015 9:24 AM PDT

my problem is solved, I managed to get Quicken 2004 working in Windows 7 in my VM, I was getting missing DLL files, at first I thought is was just MFC70.DLL but there was another one as well so I copied these two files from Quicken on windows 8 and pasted them into the registry section on the Quicken version on Windows 7 on the VM and bingo it workes, the reason I had Q2004 on the VM was so when I upgraded to 8.1 I would have the program to fall back on, well I upgraded and it all works but I had to have insurance, so thanks for all the help now for Windows 10.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
